Top-10 Rankings Highlighted By KJCCC Teams In Latest NJCAA Volleyball Rankings
CHARLOTTE, NC – Top-10 rankings for Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools highlight this week’s NJCAA Division 1 volleyball and NJCAA Division 2 volleyball polls as four of the five teams ranked from the KJCCC hold top 10 spots in the latest polls released on Monday, September 16th.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Top-10 rankings for Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools highlight this week’s NJCAA Division 1 volleyball and NJCAA Division 2 volleyball polls as four of the five teams ranked from the KJCCC hold top 10 spots in the latest polls released on Monday, September 16th.
Combining to go a perfect 7-0 last week and remaining unbeaten with a combined 22-0 record this season, Cowley and Johnson County continue to hold the top two spots in the NJCAA Division 2 volleyball rankings for a third-straight week. Both the Tigers and Cavaliers will host KJCCC home matches this Wednesday before taking part in a triangular match on Friday with both teams playing against Northeast Community College to go along with a match for Cowley against number four-ranked Kirkwood while Johnson County takes on NEO A&M. The Cavaliers will then finish the weekend with matches against number four Kirkwood and Ottawa University JV on Saturday with all matches taking place in Overland Park. Joining the top two teams in the latest NJCAA Division 2 volleyball rankings is number 18 Kansas City Kansas Community College as the Blue Devils move up five spots from number 23 after winning their only match played last week 3-0 over Labette. This week, KCKCC will host Southwestern Iowa Community College and Benedictine JV in a Tuesday triangular before playing in Overland Park over the weekend by taking on Ottawa JV, number four Kirkwood, and Northeast Community College.
In the latest NJCAA Division 1 volleyball rankings, Barton slips one spot to number five after their first loss of the season to now number 11 Odessa College while going 5-1 last week with wins over number 14 Indian Hills and number 20 Western Nebraska Community College. Just behind the Cougars holding down the number six spot in the latest rankings is Colby Community College as the Trojans are now 13-1 overall following a four-win week last week with victories over Pratt, Otero, Iowa Western, and Lamar as all four wins came by sweep.
This week’s schedule across the conference sees 43 volleyball matches taking place involving conference teams with games taking place over the course of the next five days.
