NJCAA Volleyball Rankings Continue To Feature Five KJCCC Teams, Four Ranked In Top-10
CHARLOTTE, NC – Top-10 rankings for Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools highlight this week’s NJCAA Division 1 volleyball and NJCAA Division 2 volleyball polls as four of the five teams ranked from the KJCCC hold top 10 spots in the latest polls released on Monday, September 16th.
NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball Poll | NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – Five Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference volleyball teams continue to be ranked in the latest NJCAA Division 1 and 2 volleyball polls as the 2024 season progresses into week five.
This week’s rankings for conference schools is again highlighted by unbeaten and top-ranked Cowley in the NJCAA Division 2 volleyball poll as the Tigers are a perfect 12-0 this year and have won 53 straight matches which includes a 54-match regular season win streak dating back to October 14, 2022. Falling from the list of unbeatens dropping a five-set decision to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M last week, Johnson County drops one spot to number three in this week’s poll after going 4-1 last week which included a four-set win over previously number four-ranked Kirkwood Community College. Also ranked in this week’s NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball poll from the KJCCC is Kansas City Kansas Community College, who is ranked number 19 after earning four wins last week to improve to 11-5 overall.
There were no changes for KJCCC schools in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball top 20 poll as Barton maintains their number five ranking following two conference wins as the Cougars will take on the number six ranked team in Colby Community College on Monday night in a battle of the top two teams in the KJCCC Division 1 standings. The Trojans had just one match last week and earned a four-set road victory at Seward County ahead of a busy three-match home week this week with Barton, Dodge City, and Garden City all making their way to Colby for matches.
In addition to the Colby vs Barton showdown on Monday night, five other matches will take place on Monday evening include two additional conference matches before 10 matches that are scheduled for Wednesday evening which includes nine more conference matchups. Friday will see an additional seven matches involving conference schools in non-conference action including top-ranked Cowley taking on number 18 NEO A&M before seeing the week conclude on Saturday with another 10 matches taking place among 12 conference schools.
