Cowley College cross country runners Amos Pkiach and Lubna Suied were named Jayhawk Conference men's and women's Runners of the Week after their performances on Saturday at th eBethel Thresher Invitational.

Suied was named the conference's women's Runner of the Week for the third time this season. Suied was the overall winner at the Bethel Thresher Invite. Her time of 18:27 for 5,000 meters beat the field by 20 seconds and led the Tigers to the women's team title.

Pkiach, a freshman from Eldoret, Kenya, finished second and was the top NJCAA finisher at the Bethel Thresher invite. He ran a 24:57 to help the Tigers to the meet runner-Up trophy.
