KJCCC Cross Country Athletes of the Week - Week 5

Cross country runners Emily Dierks (Colby) and Sanele Masondo (Colby) were named Jayhawk Conference women's and men's Runners of the Week.

Women
Emily Dierks (Colby) - she won the Prairie Fire Pepper women's race at the Chile Pepper Festival. A little after a mile she took off and won by 15 seconds in 17:17.1 for 5k.

Men's
Sanele Masondo (Colby) - won the McDonnell Memorial race at the Chile Pepper Festival, taking the title by eight seconds in 23:18.4 for 8k.
