2008 REGION VI VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

 

Dates: November 8-9, 2008

Site: Salthawk Activity Center, Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson, Kan.

Format: Double-elimination

Team Entry: $350 (Make checks payable to Hutchinson Community College)

 

TEAM PRACTICE TIMES

Friday, November 7

Practice times will run in one-hour sessions starting at 2 p.m. Call Ronda Shirley (665-3588) for practice reservations. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Practices must be completed by 6 p.m. as per requested by Hutchinson High administration.

 

On Friday, November 7, all Region VI volleyball teams are invited to the Hutchinson men�s and women�s basketball games at the Sports Arena. Admission is free to all participating teams.

Seward County, Pratt and Dodge City need to inform Randy Stange, Carl Heinrich, Jayhawk Conference commissioner Bryce Roderick, KJCCC webmaster Russ Karn with your first-round match times as soon as they are set. Also all host teams need to contact their opponent with all the pertinent travel information as soon as possible.

 

The Region VI committee would like to remind all coaches that the Region VI Tournaments will adhere to the NJCAA Dress Decorum guidelines as listed in the 2008 NJCAA Handbook:

Section 14, Paragraph A states: Game attire for all bench personnel, other than uniformed players, must be a college issued warm-up suit, or business casual apparel. In case of inclement weather, appropriate attire may include non-college apparel. Jeans and non-college issued hats and sweats are prohibited. Teams at the event, but not participating, must be in appropriate attire. This may include college issued warm-up suits, shorts, t-shirts and athletic footwear.

 

All host teams, please report the final result of your matches as soon as possible to Russ Karn.

 

Once all times are received from host schools, the PDF versions of the brackets will be re-sent.
