Silva had an incredible week for the Lady Saints in three Seward County wins, averaging 3.64 kills and 4.55 digs per set, while hitting .369.  Monday in a blowout win against Pratt, Silva picked up 6 kills and had just 1 error in 14 chances while also adding 11 digs on the defensive end.  Wednesday in a triangular, Silva opened up her big night with 15 kills and 12 digs against Garden City in her first career double-double and backed that up with a performance for the ages when she hammered down 19 kills and pulled up 27 digs in a solid win over Redlands.

Bernardes was a bright spot in a tough week for the Independence volleyball team as she finished with 111 kills in the Lady Pirates� seven matches. The 5�10� sophomore outside hitter added 98 digs, 13 assists, eight aces and seven blocks on the week.
