(Courtesy of Cowley Sports Information) November 24, 2024 - Finishing off a second straight storybook season, the top-seed Cowley College volleyball team defeated seventh-seed Johnson County in the NJCAA Division II Volleyball National Championship match 18-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-21 played Saturday in Cedar Rapids, IA.

COLBY, Kan. – Spending a majority of the year in the NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball top 10, Barton Community College and Colby Community College have both qualified for the 2024 NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball National Tournament which is set to begin on Wednesday, November 20th.

COLBY, Kan. – Along with NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Plains District A Champion Cowley Community College and Plains District B Champion Johnson County, an at-large bid awarded to Kansas City Kansas Community College has given the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference three teams that have qualified for the 2024 NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball National Tournament.

COLBY, Kan. – Finishing off a second consecutive unbeaten regular season, the Cowley Community College has swept the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball postseason awards with Steven Gream earning Coach of the Year, Laura Bonomi earning Most Valuable Player, and Hanna Darvas earning Freshman of the Year.

COLBY, Kan. – Leading Barton Community College to a second-straight Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Volleyball regular season title, Cougar head coach Megan Besecker and outside hitter Phoebe Reyes have earned KJCCC Division 1 Volleyball Coach of the Year and Player of the Year with Colby Community College outside hitter Karlotta Kattai earning Freshman of the Year honors to lead the postseason honors.

COLBY, Kan. – Two of the last four NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball National Champions will once again be in the National Tournament field as Cowley Community College and Johnson County Community College each earned an NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Plains District Title this past Saturday inside Garvey Gymnasium on the campus of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.

COLBY, Kan. – The top three teams in the final Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 volleyball regular season standings each had one of the final three KJCCC D1 Volleyball Players of the Week as Barton outside hitter Kassidy Nixon along with Colby’s Amanda Caputi and Dodge City’s Leisey Keli’i have been honored by the conference for their week 11 performances.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Just two changes for Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools in the latest NJCAA volleyball rankings as the final polls of the regular season have five conference schools ranked in the week 10 polls released on Monday, November 4th.

CHARLOTTE, NC – For the first time in four weeks, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week has added national honors with Allen’s Audrey Peek being named NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, October 30th.
